Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Minor)
Minors allow you to customize your degree by combining disciplines and connecting your studies more broadly.
Why choose this minor?
Today’s workplace values an individual’s capacity to think creatively, work collaboratively, and foster innovation within a team, organization, or community.
The Minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (E&I) is designed to give you the knowledge, skills, and mindset to innovate and take on new challenges in your chosen field. With electives that cross all eligible faculties, you'll hone your innovative problem-solving skills amid a diversity of mindsets, expertise, experiences, and worldviews.
Careers and future studies
Whether you manage a farm or are the founder of a tech start-up, the skills you learn in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship minor will help you to stand out.
Skills in entrepreneurship and innovation cut across disciplines, and you will be able to apply what you learned in the E&I minor to any future studies.
What you will learn
The skills you learn in the E&I minor go beyond the classroom. You’ll participate in at least 3 hands-on courses that will allow you to apply what you’ve learned about leadership, problem-solving, and innovation to real-world issues.
The minor has 3 required Management courses and 3 elective courses. The electives are divided into three clusters: Leadership, In Context, and Experiential.
Completing the E&I minor along with your chosen degree will give you an understanding of how entrepreneurship and innovation can meet economic, social, and cultural needs.
