Delve into the origins of modern critical thought by examining the philosophies and writings of Aristotle, Plato, Socrates, St. Augustine, and more. You’ll learn how these great thinkers made sense of — and influenced — the ancient world in which they lived. 

What you will learn

What is love? Does God exist? What does it mean to be human? Where does knowledge come from? 

Tackle life’s big questions through the minds of the philosophers of Ancient Greece and Rome.
