Elected voting members:
One member from each faculty, one of whom shall be elected to be chair by the members of the committee.
Student voting members:
Two student members appointed by the Dalhousie Student Union who are not members of the Senate Discipline Committee.

Submitting an appeal
Academic appeals
If you are a student who is appealing a faculty-level academic decision, please note:
- Before submitting an academic appeal to the SAC, you must have exhausted all appeal regulations and procedures of your faculty.
- Your appeal should be submitted within 30 calendar days of the date that the decision under appeal was sent to you. If you received the decision more than 30 days ago, you will need to apply for an extension when submitting your appeal.

Discipline appeals
If you are a student who is appealing a Senate Discipline Committee decision, please note:
- Your appeal must meet the grounds for appeal outlined in the SAC Jurisdiction and Appeals Procedures [PDF-39KB].
- Your appeal should be submitted within 30 calendar days of the date that the decision under appeal was sent to you. If you received the decision more than 30 days ago, you will need to apply for an extension when submitting your appeal.
