Accessibility Week

Dalhousie's third-annual Accessibility Week campaign ran from Nov. 25-Dec.3, 2024. Thanks to everyone who attended the various events and sessions during the week. We hope you learned a lot and are eager to spread the word about accessibility.

The following events were held during Dalhousie Accessibility Week:

International Day for Persons with Disabilities

Dal's Accessibility Week takes place each year in the lead up to the International Day for Persons with Disabilities.

The annual observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3 was proclaimed in 1992 by the United Nations General Assembly resolution 47/3. The observance of the day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.
