Program overview
Dalhousie’s new Master of Management (MM) is a one-year, full-time program designed for recent graduates and career changers from any academic background.
Developed with input from industry, alumni, and faculty experts, the MM blends business foundations, project management, and leadership into a fast, focused pathway to career growth. You’ll gain real-world experience through hands-on projects, service learning, and simulations, while a dedicated career development program provides networking, mentorship, and job search support.
No business degree or GMAT is required, making the MM an accessible and practical choice if you’re ready to take your career to the next level.

What you will learn
The MM follows a structured, competency-based approach, with each semester focusing on key management skills. Each semester is enriched by career development workshops, networking opportunities, and resume-building experiences to support students' transition into the workforce.

Experiential learning
In addition, the MM places a significant emphasis on experiential learning. Examples include:
INFO 5590 Students in this course will participate in a simulation-based learning experience. Enterprise Resource Planning Simulation (ERPsim) is a business simulation game in which participants use a real ERP system to manage their virtual company in a competitive market.
One of BUSI 6523 or PUAD 6520 Each year one or both of these courses will provide students with an opportunity to participate in a community and industry research project.
MGMT 5000 Students in this course work in partnership with a community-based organization to apply their disciplinary knowledge to a challenge identified by the community.

Faculty-specific scholarships
The Faculty of Management has dedicated funding through the Promise Scholars Program which provides financial and career support for Black and Indigenous students.
