Submitting documents
Required documentation will be noted in the application portal once your application is submitted. The following documents could be requested:
High school applicants are asked to send a transcript with first semester or mid-year grades once available, as well as when final grades are released. Ontario and Nova Scotia students may include their ID on their application to initiate automatic download.
Your transcript must be sent directly from the issuing institution to be considered official. We recommend submission by email to admissions.documents@dal.ca. Transcripts can also be sent via mail or courier.
High school applicants who apply ahead of the release of first semester or mid-year grades are asked to upload an unofficial transcript via the application portal. This document must include grade 11 final marks and grade 12 courses being taken. This document does not need to be sent from the issuing institution and can be a self-initiated download or screenshot.
College and university applicants are required to submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended. Your transcript must be sent directly from the issuing institution to be considered official. We recommend submission by email to admissions.documents@dal.ca. Transcripts can also be sent via mail or courier.
You are required to submit proof of proficiency if you are from a country or school where English is not the primary language of instruction.
If you have not yet completed an ESL test or program, your application will still be reviewed, and an offer of admission may still be made with the condition that you provide proof of English proficiency. In these instances, the deadline to submit varies and is included in the conditional offer of admission.
Admissions assessment for some programs is based on academic performance and other criteria. Follow the instructions for programs with supplemental requirements.
