About Educational Technology and Design

Educational Technology and Design provides the campus community with access to, and support for, technologies that transform the teaching and learning experience. In collaboration with academic departments and/or the Extended Learning group, we provide instructional design expertise and determine the best solution for technology integration based on the needs of both the students and the curriculum. In doing so the unit is integral to:

• Enhancing and expanding services and courses that improve accessibility
• Providing an alternative range of delivery modes
• Increasing the diversity of the student body both geographically and demographically
• Supporting the concept and importance of vibrant learning communities within our Faculty
• Harnessing efficiencies through development of course materials that can be utilized in multiple learning opportunities
