Find out what courses you need to apply

The way school systems name and organize their courses varies by region. The courses accepted for admission depend on the curriculum of the province or territory where you studied.

High school applicants from all provinces and territories in Canada must meet Dalhousie's minimum admission requirements. Some programs at Dalhousie may also have specific admission requirements.

International Baccalaureate (IB) and Advanced Placement (AP) applicants may be eligible for university or transfer credits.

Select the curriculum you followed to find out which courses you need to complete before applying.

International Baccalaureate (IB) applicants

Dalhousie will also review credentials obtained from the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. University credit may be awarded for selected IB Higher Level (HL) courses.

Ready to apply?

You can submit your application as early as October 15 of your grade 12 year. An early offer of admission means you can get a head start on your next steps, like applying for scholarships and residence.
