Give back to your community

Gifts and support from alumni and friends of the Faculty of Science help ensure our students get a great, world-class education, and that our faculty members have access to some of the best facilities for teaching and research.

You can support student awards, research, a specific department or program, or helping improve physical facilities at Dalhousie University, Canada. It’s up to you. There are a variety of ways to contribute to the Faculty of Science, or one of our departments or programs.

Science Student Experience Fund

This fund gives students hands-on and experiential learning opportunities that foster creativity and inter-disciplinary cooperation. All funds raised directly support the development of an outdoor classroom known as the Dalhousie Outdoor Ecolab.

Dive In: The Blue Whale Project

In 2017, an 18-metre female blue whale was found dead near Liverpool, Nova Scotia. From this discovery, Dive In: The Blue Whale Project was born. Since then, members of the Dalhousie community have been restoring the bones, which will eventually become an exhibit in Dalhousie’s Steele Ocean Sciences Building.

Volunteer

Many of our alumni find themselves reconnecting with their current and past Dal Science communities through volunteering.
