Representing the collective voice of all 19,000 Dal students, the DSU builds community on campus through events and by financially supporting student societies. With more than 250 societies to choose from, you’re almost certain to find peers who share your interests. 

All graduate students are members of the DAGS, Dalhousie’s student-run organization that represents graduate students at the university, local, provincial, and national levels. If you're interested in advocating for your community, DAGS offers opportunities to get involved.

Dalhousie’s fitness facilities are among the best at a Canadian university, including an Olympic-sized pool, indoor track and state-of-the art gyms. Offering a wide range of classes from spin to rock climbing to yoga there are many options to stay fit.

From breakdancing to baseball, sailing to synchronized swimming, there is no shortage of opportunities to get active on campus. In addition to intramurals, you can get involved with clubs that compete at more advanced levels.

Looking for something to do? There are always student-run events happening on campus. It’s easy to find something to get involved in.

Halifax is known for its live music, but you don’t have to leave campus to find arts and entertainment options such as concerts, theatre productions and the Dalhousie Art Gallery.
