Dalhousie Women’s Connection

Empowering women

Dalhousie Women’s Connection is a collective of alumni who have been, and continue to be, focused on the empowerment of Dalhousie women and the enhancement of the student experience. Through events, programming, and community collaboration, the Women’s Connection encourages fellow alumni to contribute to the advancement of women and a positive experience for all Dalhousie students. 

Dalhousie Women’s Connection operates on Dalhousie’s core values of diversity, inclusion, empowerment, and equity with members participating at varying levels of commitment, locally and across the province and country.

Our story: a history of community involvement

The Dalhousie Women’s Connection (formerly the Women’s Division) has a rich history in empowering women and enhancing the student experience.

Over the years, the group has strengthened and contributed to the Dalhousie community through:

  • Supporting student scholarships, bursaries, and awards opportunities
  • Hosting signature events like the Student Musicale in partnership with the Fountain School of Performing Arts
  • Overseeing the upgrades and improvements to Shirreff Hall’s Victorian Lounge, library, and study hall 

Our mission

The Dalhousie Women’s Connection’s mission is to advance the best interests of Dalhousie University, by engaging women alumni and everyone in enhancing the student experience and empowering all women in Dalhousie's community.
