Dalhousie Engineering is proud to offer the Indigenous Pathways Program, a dedicated initiative supporting Indigenous youth on their journey toward careers in engineering.
We are committed to fostering a community that celebrates Indigenous knowledge, culture, and innovation, and we value the unique perspectives and talents Indigenous students bring to the engineering profession.
Program Features
The Indigenous Pathways Program is designed to help Indigenous youth pursue a degree in engineering. The Program offers flexible entry routes for students including our Bridging Program.

At Dalhousie Engineering we offer some of the top hands-on learning opportunities in Canada, with a strong focus on experiential learning. Through the Indigenous Pathways Program, you’ll engage in co-op placements and community-based projects, applying your skills in real-world settings. You’ll explore engineering concepts through projects that blend traditional knowledge with modern practices, while accessing state-of-the-art labs and technologies. |

Program Eligibility
To be eligible for the Pathways Program, students must:
- Identify as Indigenous
- Completion of a high school diploma
Financial Support
Dalhousie Engineering is committed to helping you pursue a degree in engineering. Indigenous students have access to scholarships, bursaries, and financial aid to support your academic journey.
Community Support
Dalhousie University is home to a growing Indigenous community that offers supports and spaces to connect with peers including the Indigenous Student Centre. Here you’ll find resources and support for academic success and personal growth.
Students also benefit from a support system through our diverse student society groups, and our Elders in Residence.
