Why Dal?
As a registered nurse with an interest in evidence-based practice, I applied to the PhD in Nursing program at Dalhousie University because of the School’s strong research focus and community partnerships. Throughout my graduate studies, I learned that Dal is that and much more. The School of Nursing offered a unique learning environment to build a foundation of research knowledge and skills. The supportive faculty challenged my thinking and helped prepare me to produce high quality research that is responsive to the needs of patients, clinicians, administrators, and researchers.
Research Interest
My research uses an integrated knowledge translation approach to design, implement and evaluate nursing practice changes in pediatric care. As a CIHR Health System Impact Postdoctoral Fellow at the IWK Health Centre, I am working to better understand the role and process of facilitation as a strategy to move evidence into practice in pediatric care.
