How did Dalhousie’s MPA program get on your radar?
I’ve wanted to attend Dalhousie since high school. The MPA program was brought to my attention by a family member who works with MPA grads, and the program is the next best step towards a career in government.
How has the curriculum enhanced your undergraduate degree?
I currently hold a Masters of History from the University of Waterloo, and the MPA has allowed me to hone my political analysis skills and it has expanded my breadth of knowledge beyond the core Arts.
What has been most valuable about the MPA program so far?
The MPA creates opportunities for its students to meet real public servants, and to learn from their experiences. I look forward to participating in the internship program next summer to extend these experiences.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I hope to be working in the Nova Scotia provincial government in some sort of policy analyst position. I want to be contribute to the province in a positive way that allows me to promote youth retention policies at a provincial level.
