Doughan Turk

"This is what Dalhousie's Internetworking program is all about. I got involved in internetworking immediately after doing my undergraduate degree in 1996. No matter what book I read or course I took, I always felt that something fundamental was missing in my understanding of the technology."

"In 1999, I learned about Dalhousie's Master of Engineering in Internetworking. I enrolled and, after 10 months of really hard work, I finally found what I was missing! It is the fundamental and deep understanding of TCP/IP that some of the folks with industry certificates are missing. Some might say, it is not important to get that type of academic education, but I totally disagree."

"I am currently employed by Bell Canada. I worked on the Public Backbone and MPLS network for five years. I obtained my CCIE, wrote RFC3882, which happened to be my graduation project. As well, I have contributed five patent submissions to the Bell Canada Intellectual property rights portfolio. I couldn't have done any of this without my experience at Dalhousie!"
