I joined this program to consolidate my existing knowledge and to develop additional internetworking skills. My main goal in regards this program is to achieve the CCIE certification.
The lab facilities at Dalhousie are world class and include all of the necessary resources to complete any of the commercial lab products (IPexpert, Internetwork Expert, DoIT, etc.) designed for the CCIE in routing and switching. The program includes a voucher for the CCIE written exam and the top half of the graduating class is also given a voucher for the cost of the CCIE Lab exam. If you have the drive and the ambition, you can achieve your CCIE within six months of graduation.
The other great strength of the program is the rich diversity of the student body. If you have an international focus and would like to gain real experience working with people from all over the world, then this program is for you. I learned about different cultures and made friendships that span the globe. After graduating from this program, you will not only have a strong technical degree but also an international perspective.
