Sobey Fund for Oceans

The Sobey Fund for Oceans is an endowment that will provide support for A Conservation Legacy for Oceans, specifically through the funding of scholarships and work placements. It is on this strong base that we aspire to build greater investment in the broader work of our partnership and in the range of activities we will lead under this banner of work.

The Fund is a unique partnership formed between the Marine Affairs Program (MAP), Dalhousie University and WWF-Canada, a leader in marine conservation. The goal of the Sobey Fund for Oceans is to inspire inventive multi-disciplinary approaches for creating healthy oceans and sustainable economies through student-led conferences, scholarships and student work placements.
