Welcome to the Maassen Lab!

We are a research group in the Department of Physics & Atmospheric Science at Dalhousie University led by Prof. Jesse Maassen. Our research focus is the theory/simulation of electro-thermal transport and energy conversion in materials and devices. Our aim is to predict and explore material properties and transport physics, including quantum, nanoscale and non-equilibrium phenomena. We seek to provide fundamental insights and enable the advancement of applications in thermoelectrics, electronics, and heat management.
