Venue & Accommodations

The meeting will take place in the newly constructed Collaborative Health Education Building located in Dalhousie University’s Carleton Campus and a very short distance from the Halifax Public Gardens.

Although there are many options for accommodation in Halifax, there are two locations that offer the greatest convenience. Originally built in October 1928, the Lord Nelson Hotel is a legendary landmark in downtown Halifax located across from the beautiful Public Gardens. As one of Halifax’s most historic hotels, it is the first choice for international conferences, wedding receptions, and dinners. The hotel’s elegance, charm and Maritime hospitality attracts guests from around the world, including royalty, politicians, and celebrities.  Located only a 7-minute walk from the meeting space in the Collaborative Health Education Building (CHEB), it is the closest, most convenient hotel to the conference.  You can stroll through the Public Gardens which leads you almost to the entrance of the CHEB itself.  For those who need transportation, the Hotel also offers a shuttle to the Conference between 7:00–11:00am Monday to Friday and can be arranged at the front desk.

In addition, we offer accommodations in Dalhousie University’s student residences, located on the main campus at LeMarchant Place.  LeMarchant Place is Dalhousie University’s newest residence offering two, three, or four-bedroom accommodations and is only a 10-minute walk to the meeting building.
