Electric Vehicles
Electric vehicles are on the rise now that fossil fuel resources are diminishing around the world. Electric mobility is considered to be the most sustainable form of vehicle transportation. Since transportation accounts for almost a quarter of greenhouse gas emissions in Canada, moving from fossil-fuel operated vehicles will help with Canada's carbon footprint. The government is investing $182.5 million in green infrastructure and clean technologies and partnering with the private sector "to support the demonstration and deployment of new charging stations for electric vehicles". According to Nova Scotia Power, there are approximately 100 charging stations across the province, with more being added each year.
