In alignment with the Tri-Agency Research Training Strategy and as announced in Budget 2024, the three federal research funding agencies, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering and Research Council (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) are launching a new harmonized talent program called the Canada Research Training Awards Suite. While more specific details will be available in the coming months, the agencies want to provide some key updates to help you prepare for this change.
Tri-agency staff will continue to share updates as more information becomes available. In the coming months, tri-agency teams will hold information sessions where we will provide more details about competition processes for the CRTAS.
