Parking passes go on sale Monday, August 26, 2024. To review rates for 2024-25, visit the parking website.
To purchase a pass, login to the HotSpot website (same process as last year). You will need your Dal Net ID, password, and vehicle information. A reminder that current passes are valid until August 31, 2024.
Renewal of reserved spots can be completed via Hotspot , but new reserved spot requests, accommodations, and Ride Share have a different process. Please visit dal.ca/parking for more information.
For those who wish to purchase a pass in person (in lieu of using Hotspot), there will be a kiosk set up at the Dalhousie Arts Centre from August 26-30 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and September 9-13 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
A few reminders:
- A general parking pass does not guarantee a parking spot. We sell more passes than we have parking spots to allow flexibility for those who come and go to campus. Most general parking spots are taken by 8 a.m. Learn more about transportation alternatives.
- Parking cannot be purchased for three of our parking lots: Reserved (outdoors), Reserved (CSB 4), and Reserved (Dunn) are all at capacity. Visit dal.ca/parking for more information and how to get on the waitlist.
- Dalhousie does not provide physical parking passes. The license plate connected to the purchase of the pass serves as proof of parking.
- The two pay and display ticket machines in the McCain parkade and the Killam loop have been removed. All short-term parking can be purchased via Hotspot or select coin metered parking.
- Individuals who park on campus should expect increased parking enforcement throughout September, including ticketing and booting for individuals with multiple tickets. More info.
- Parking at the Truro Agricultural Campus is free and no passes are needed.
