Bright Club Halifax is looking for researchers to try stand-up comedy! Bright Club Halifax is the comedy club that organizes comedy events around Halifax for researchers and academics to perform stand-up comedy about their research/work. Why? Because why not…continue your pursuit of knowledge in fun and interesting ways.
How does it work?
University researchers and academics present their (hilarious) work in a hilarious way! We do not discriminate by subject, experience, or fame: we just pick brilliant people and let them tell jokes and funny stories about what they know best to an attractive and not all-knowing audience.
But I have never done comedy before!
Neither have we…just kidding right? That is OK! Most people haven’t done comedy before. We will help transform your passion and knowledge into a hysterically funny set with face-to-face training workshops. So, stand up and try something new or not new. We don’t discriminate.
History
Bright Club started in London in May 2009 by the brilliant Steve Cross and Miriam Miller. It is well established in many cities across the UK and even made its way to Australia. Bright Club Halifax is the first of its kind in Canada.
