Mind: The Gap is a podcast dedicated to discovering the minds behind people bringing science to society. From challenges to opportunities, the hosts Juliet Rowe and Theresa Gaughan uncover the impact of research on policy, community, and ultimately you.

Listen to Mind: The Gap’s recent podcast episodes interviewing Dr. Anya Waite on combating climate change with ocean research and Lisa Maddison on using trans-disciplinary research to promote ocean sustainability.

Dr. Anya Waite is the Associate Vice President of Ocean Research at Dalhousie University and the Scientific Director and CEO of the Ocean Frontier Institute. In the episode, we chat about how ocean research can combat climate change. The Ocean Frontier Institute brings together researchers, industry, and government to solve complex ocean problems. Using the $154 million investment from the Canada First Research Excellence Fund, we can now incorporate the ocean into climate mitigation strategies. Look forward to interesting discussions about walking backwards with coffee, cats being both solid and liquid, and the importance of being authentically you.
