In order to ensure a safe and smooth check-in process for over 2300 students moving into our residences, please note the following streets will be closed to non-residence and non-essential traffic from 8am to 2pm on Thursday, August 31, Friday, September 1^st, and Saturday, September 2^nd, 2023:

• LeMarchant Street from South Street to University Avenue
• LeMarchant Street from University Avenue to Coburg Road
• Seymour Street from South Street to University Avenue
• University Avenue Loop in front of the Killam Library (except Accessible Parking Spaces are open)

Additionally, the following parking lots will also be closed during this time:

• Shirreff Hall loop
• Howe Hall Studley loop
• Portions of the Dunn parking lot (spaces closest to Fountain House)*
  
• Gerard Hall parking lot
• Risley Hall parking lot
• Driveway between Risley Hall and Student Union Building

Access to all of the above will be managed by Dal Security, Jolcar Security, and Halifax Police Department. Essential access will be permitted, particularly for South Street Apartments and the University Children’s Centre. Please refrain from parking in a closed area or on a closed street as cars may be ticketed and towed.
