The Instructional Technologies Virtual Support Room was created at the start of the pandemic with one-time funding to help support the university’s rapid shift to remote instruction. Since it was opened in March 2020, the virtual support room has been well used with over 23,000 visits by instructors requiring technical support with Brightspace and other learning technologies.

Following a review of past and current use of the service, and in order to make the best use of resources to continue to provide high-quality services going forward, weekend hours of operation for the virtual support room will be discontinued at the end of this month. March 25th & 26th will be the final weekend. Weekday hours will continue.

Effective March 27th, 2023, the hours of operation will be Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm.
