Every year on the third Wednesday in October, we mark International Pronouns Day. This day falls on October 19 this year.

According to the official website, International Pronouns Day “seeks to make respecting, sharing and educating about personal pronouns commonplace.” Celebrating this day means celebrating people’s multiple, intersecting identities. While many people use pronouns such as she/her or he/him, others may use they/them, ze/zir, other pronouns, or combinations of these pronouns.

You are also encouraged to consider signing up for this free online learning module: Rethinking Gender: Trans Inclusive Spaces. The module is developed and facilitated by community educator Nolan Pike and will lead you through a range of ideas and resources to support the inclusion of transgender and non-binary individuals as well as those with a diverse range of gender identities.
