Dalhousie University aims to reduce and divert solid, liquid, and hazardous waste from the landfill. Four streams of waste bins are placed all across campus with signage to help sort their waste.
The week of October 17th celebrates Canada's 21st Waste Reduction Week and we want to take this opportunity to get students involved in campus waste reduction initiatives.
We need four volunteers to help us update waste signs in Studley, Sexton, and Carleton Campus from October 17th-23rd. Familiarity with either campus is an asset. Please fill out the form below. Selected students will be contacted via email.
Job Description
Volunteers will be assigned to specific areas/buildings on campus.
Check and replace any waste signs that are worn out on every floor and room in the building.
Students can divide their time throughout the six days depending on their schedule.
Email us at rethink@dal.ca for questions.
