PAY RATE: As per CUPE Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT: To teach GWST 2011.03 : Queering Foundations; currently scheduled for In-Person delivery on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 1035-1125AM, in the Winter Term (January-April 2023). The part-time academic’s duties include responsibility for planning the course in conjunction with the Coordinator, teaching the class, evaluating the students, holding regular office hours, and administration relating to the class. The part-time academic must be available for consultation with students outside of class times. This position will report to the Coordinator of Gender and Women’s Studies. Note: This class may have teaching assistant support depending on enrolment
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Master's or Doctorate in Gender and Women’s Studies (or equivalent professional experience) and professional expertise in women's movements, activism, and participatory learning methods. Demonstrated experience in some combination of diversity, equity, and global feminist activism. Commitment to interdisciplinary approaches in Gender and Women's Studies. Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the university level.
