Teaching Assistant position for “Artificial Intelligence” (HSTC 2410) in the Summer 2022 Term

Deadline for Applications: May 1, 2022

The History of Science and Technology Program at the University of King’s College invites applications for one Teaching Assistant position for “Artificial Intelligence” (HSTC 2410) in the Summer 2022 Term. The course examines the history, philosophy, and implications of artificial intelligence from antiquity to the present day.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • reading course material
  • grading assignments and exams
  • consulting on a regular basis with the instructor regarding the approach taken in teaching, grading and other expectations
  • (potentially) hosting online tutorials

Qualifications and Experience: Candidates may come from various fields but should have at least an undergraduate degree. Graduates with some background in the history of science are encouraged to apply. Prior TA experience is also an asset.

Hourly Rate of Pay: $24.90 (classification of TA130). Position is conditional on the course’s final enrollment numbers



Teaching Assistant position for “Brewing Civilization” (HSTC 3415) in the Summer 2022 Term

The History of Science and Technology Program at the University of King’s College invites applications for one Teaching Assistant position for “Brewing Civilization” (HSTC 3415) in the Summer 2022 Term. The course examines the science, history, and social implications of brewing from the ancient to the modern world.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • reading course material
    grading assignments and exams
    consulting on a regular basis with the instructor regarding the approach taken in teaching, grading and other expectations
    (potentially) hosting online tutorials

Qualifications and Experience: Candidates may come from various fields but should have at least an undergraduate degree. Graduates with some background in the history of science are encouraged to apply. Prior TA experience is also an asset.
