In support of Dal’s Mental Health Awareness initiative in March, a series of posts will be shared with a variety of resources for you to consider for your own well-being and those around you. These will have a workplace focus, while many resources are also available for students.
Consider exploring the many supports offered through our Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP), either assisted or self-directed, by visiting http://workhealthlife.com and use “Dalhousie University” in the search field to open access to the full range of what’s available.
The Workplace Strategies for Mental Health website offers a wealth of information specific to mental health issues at work, including a series of videos showing employees sharing their experiences. Try this video on What it felt like just before being diagnosed with a mental illness. Or What dealing with mental illness at work felt like.
