Pets of Dalhousie: Meet Enzo

Enzo says it's nap time!

Enzo is a boxer/American Staffordshire terrier who lives with Lisa Sillito, administrative assistant for the CRC in Maritime Law and Policy with the Schulich School of Law.

Name: Enzo

Background: Enzo was saved from a Montreal kill shelter at the end of March 2020. He was rescued through an organization in NS and once we saw his photo, we knew we had to apply to adopt him. He is an amazing dog who loves everyone and every dog he meets. He’s a little intimidating because of his size (83lbs) but once you see his tail wagging, you just know he is friendly and lovable. Enzo is an athletic guy, but not so great with agility games. He much prefers chasing a stick to a ball or Frisbee.

Breed: Boxer/American Staffordshire Terrier

Age: 4 years

Favourite Foods: Bacon and cheese of course, but he would walk through fire for his Greenie treats.

Special Tricks: He has a full repertoire of tricks he can perform if there is food involved. He gives high-fives, lip kisses on demand (although you never know where the tongue has been, so some cautious restraint is recommended). Enzo can lie on the couch for hours at a time watching cartoons – special favourites are Paw Patrol and Sponge Bob Square Pants. As soon as he hears the theme songs, he races into the room, jumps on the couch, kicks off all the cushions and hunkers down for some serious TV time.

Best Quality: He is an 80lb lap dog. Very affectionate, and actually cuddles with his humans. Loves afternoon naps on the bed with mum, and early morning coffee in bed with dad. There is not a person or dog that has met Enzo, who hasn’t fallen in love with him. We are so blessed to have him in our life. Thank you to Good Bones Dog Rescue.
