The Ocean Frontier Institute is fully funding two students — one from Dalhousie University and one from Memorial University of Newfoundland — to take part in a semester-long ocean expedition course by the University of Bergen (UiB) aboard the research sailing vessel Statsraad Lehmkuhl.
The course departs Valparaíso in Chile on May 1, 2022 and ends in Palau on August 25, 2022.
Participating students will be a part of the crew and will study topics on ocean, climate, and society related to the UN sustainable development goals, especially 'SDG 14 Life Below Water' and 'SDG 13 Climate Action'.
