There is a virtual hackathon this weekend (May 30th-31st) where participants will work in teams to create their own projects addressing the impacts of COVID-19 on the world - everyone will use real-world data to develop solutions for issues related to COVID-19...
These are the four themes of the event, with specific challenges being released this week:
- Local Response
- Economic Opportunity
- Learning from Space
- Earth System Response
Fun fact - Space Apps Halifax is one of 2 locations in Canada and one of 8 in North America presenting the NASA Space Apps COVID-19 challenge!
