Arts Centre Expansion – Construction Tower Crane
Re: Construction Tower Crane — Dalhousie University Arts Centre Addition
As part of the Dalhousie Arts Centre expansion, a construction tower crane will be installed onsite. This is part of the HRM Building Permit process. EllisDon Corporation, the construction manager on site, and/or a subcontractor contracted to Dalhousie University, will be installing and operating the construction crane during the new Arts Centre addition. The crane will be installed around February 24, 2020 and remain in place until spring 2021.
At times, the boom of the crane may swing through the airspace above adjacent properties. Please be aware that the portion of the crane carrying the load will not swing over residential properties. The crane operator will comply with all laws and regulations, and operate the crane with skill and care. All safety precautions have been taken to ensure the crane is safe and secure.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the crane please contact Project Manager Julia Cairns, at 902-401-4544 or julia.cairns@dal.ca.
