If you work on one of Dalhousie's Halifax campuses, and your office has electronic devices that can no longer be used, it is recommended the equipment be recycled through the Electronic Recycling (E-Recycling) Program.
The E-Recycling Program:
- Collects university-owned electronic equipment (e.g. desktops, laptops, mice, keyboards, desktop printers, monitors, tvs, etc.)
- For a full list of accepted materials, please refer to the Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA) website)
- Ensures no data is retrievable
- Properly disposes of it at an approved provincial recycling depot
- Aligns with the Surplus Materials Disposal Instructions in which printers and computers must follow the E-recycling program, to ensure data security
To Request an E-Recycling pickup:
- Log into our Service Request Form
- Select E-Recycling
- Complete the form
- Click Submit, which will open a support ticket
- ITS will review your request and once approved, Facilities Management will be in touch to arrange for pickup of your equipment
Let's all do our part, to protect the environment!
