This September, the Registrar's Office launched a new initiative which brought our services out on the road and supported students, faculty and staff from key locations around campus.

We're pleased to have been able to meet with students, faculty and staff from multiple departments to explain a little more about what we do (and to give directions to classrooms!)

At the pop-up shops, we gave students the chance to win an iPad by correctly guessing the number of smarties in a jar. Each smartie represented one course offered at Dal in the fall 2019 term, across our undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs at all our sites.

More than 300 students entered a guess, and we're delighted to announce that the winner was Daniel Williams, a Biology and Chemistry major within the Faculty of Science. Daniel's guess of 2780 smarties was just 34 away from the actual figure of 2814.

Whether we're helping students manage their academic profile, advising faculty members on academic regulations, or supporting staff in navigating the university's processes, the Registrar's Office is a key part of the student experience and an essential component of what makes Dal a great place to study and work.
