Position Title: Student Assistant
Department/Location: College of Sustainability, 1401 Mona Campbell Building

Start Date: as soon as possible, ending April 30, 2020
Pay Rate: 15.00 per hour, 5-15 hours per week, depending on events for the week
JOB DESCRIPTION: Looking for a dependable person to assist with the following duties:
1. SUST Community Meals
· Require availability one day per month, preferably on a Wednesday evening: specific dates to be determined (approx.6-9 hours on these dates)
· Must have experience working with food prep, and Food Hygiene (Handling) course
· Take responsibility for preparation (including shopping), organization, and clean-up of events
· Coordinate menu and required supplies a week in advance, with Manager Finance & Administration
· Liaise with ESS students, YESS to anticipate/manage attendance
2. Set-up assistance for RBC-SLC modules
· October 18, 2019, January 17, 2020 and March 20, 2020 – approx. timings 3:30-7:00pm
· Assist with the set-up of classroom for weekend module
3. Reading Weeks – November 12-15, 2019 and February 18-21, 2020
· Organize and plan several events throughout the week(s)
· Coordinate, and oversee all scheduled events for this week
4. Be prepared to initiate and organize other student focused events during the year
5. Other duties and events as they come up
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION
Successful applicants must be a current student of Dalhousie University and must have knowledge of the ESS program. Preference will be given to ESS students. Must be reliable, energetic, and enthusiastic, have excellent organizational skills. Must have flexibility in and outside of regular business hours
