POSITION(S): Marker(s)/Demonstrator(s) – up to 210 hours total

PAY RATE: Hourly as per CUPE Collective Agreement
COURSE INFORMATION: First Year Spanish Classes (SPAN 1021/1022/1035)
Fall & Winter Terms 2019-2020 (September 1, 2019 – March 31, 2020)
WORK ASSIGNMENT: Marker(s)/Demonstrator(s) will assist several instructors in grading tests and assignments, and assist with occasional in-class language demonstrations/activities.
Work will be concentrated around class deadlines, and will not exceed 20 hours per week.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Applicants must be registered as full-time students at Dalhousie University. This position requires native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English. Good interpersonal skills required to work with groups of students or for one-on-one interaction. Markers should have proficient Spanish language writing skills, basic knowledge of grammar and writing style, and an ability to work to deadlines. Prior marking experience is preferred but not required.
