Posted by Human Resources on June 1, 2018 in Human Resources

The Dalhousie Legacy Awards are less than three weeks away, being held on June 20, 4 – 6 pm, at the Dal Arts Centre. Don’t forget to RSVP for the event here. All faculty and staff are invited to attend.

Beginning next week, there will be a series of Legacy Award videos promoted through social media leading up to the event, and here is the introduction by Jasmine Walsh, Assistant Vice-President, Human Resources. https://youtu.be/RcM0XB4OwEI Please help us promote the event within faculties and departments.

More than 19 university-wide awards will be recognized as part of the Legacy Awards event, selected for their alignment with the university’s Strategic Priorities. President Richard Florizone will present the awards to faculty and staff for their outstanding contributions to the university and community. There will also be a special performance by the Maritime Bhangra Group, an opportunity to win two $250 Visa gift cards and refreshments following the Awards ceremony.

The Legacy Awards are introduced in 2018 as part of the university's 200th anniversary celebrations. The Legacy Awards are part of a broader institutional effort to better recognize faculty and staff for their extraordinary efforts on behalf of Dalhousie University. This is a key part of our Strategic Initiative 5.1, focusing on developing a human resource strategy to attract, reward and retain faculty and staff.
