Dalhousie University's Clean Technologies Research Institute

Posted by Science on June 28, 2017 in General Announcements

Formerly known as the Institute for Research in Materials (IRM), the Clean Technologies Research Institute (CTRI) at Dalhousie University has announced a sharpened focus under its new name. This collaborative research network across various faculties at Dal—including Science, Engineering, Agriculture, Architecture and Planning, and Management—will continue to bring researchers and industry partners together. The CTRI will unite the many disciplines, forces and tools required to tackle one of society’s most complex problems—a sustainable energy future. Today the CTRI is celebrating their new direction with a day of research talks that began earlier this morning with a lecture delivered by Professor Tom Zawodzinski of the University of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, a leading expert in electrical energy storage.
