Demolition is complete on Morris Street and excavation is underway on the new Design Building. The sidewalk on the north side of Morris Street is expected to close the week of December 12-17 to allow for the next phase of construction of the IDEA project buildings. Pedestrians are urged to cross the street when travelling between areas of Sexton Campus and exercise caution at all times.
Over the holiday break the entrance to Sexton from Morris Street will be closed to all traffic except for construction vehicles. Several dozen more parking spots will be lost to construction but to compensate for this, the pay-and-display parking area in the Rosina lot will become available to those with General Parking Permits. The changes will be timed to coincide, so there will be no loss in parking. Exact dates will be communicated as they are known.

The IDEA Project is a transformational $64-million investment to Dalhousie’s Engineering and Architecture campus and will be complete in spring 2018.
