POSITION: Part-Time Academic for ERTH 2270.03 – Introduction to Applied Geophysics for the first half of the 2017 winter term. The course starts January 9th and the PTA will cover the first six weeks of the course, up to Winter Study Week (which starts February 20th). The first half of the class is focused on fundamentals of seismic wave propagation, seismic refraction method, and seismic reflection method.


DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Department of Earth Sciences, Halifax Campus


PAY RATE: In accordance with CUPE Agreement Local 3912

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The instructor will be responsible for the delivery of course content, for holding office hours and for evaluation of students. Detailed class description is available in the Department and in the Dalhousie Calendar (www.dal.ca).

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Graduate degree in Geophysics or Earth Sciences with relevant expertise and teaching experience.
