Dalhousie's First BioBlitz

Posted by Faculty of Science on September 7, 2016 in General Announcements

We don’t always notice all the living things around us, especially in our urban environments. But life outdoors on campus, even in the heart of Halifax, is abundant.

Dalhousie University’s Departments of Biology and Environmental Science will be hosting the first ever BioBlitz all day on September 8, 2016. A BioBlitz is a rapid survey of organisms in a given area. All Dal students, faculty, staff and Studley Campus neighbours are invited to participate in the BioBlitz, to help us record and identify all living things outdoors on Studley Campus! Explore while photographing plants, birds and insects you see along the way. Full details on participation are outlined at dal.ca/science/bioblitz
