Front doors of the Henry Hicks building: Closed for two weeks

Posted by Facilities Management on August 4, 2016 in Facilities Management

Dalhousie’s Department of Facilities Management will be closing the front doors to the Henry Hicks Building for two weeks beginning Friday, August 5 and ending the week of August 22. These are the doors on the east side of the building facing the Studley Quad.

This is to allow for the next phase of repair on the building’s exterior. A mixture of water and sand (with fine glass particles) will be used to restore the stone façade and access to these doors will be restricted due to safety concerns.

The north and south doors will remain open, and the west doors have now been reopened following stairway repair.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Please contact Project Manager Pat MacIsaac with any concerns at 902-494-1314 or pat.macisaac@dal.ca.
