Position: Part-time Academic – Winter 2017
Department: Environmental Sciences
Pay Rate: In accordance with the CUPE collective agreement

Work Assignment: This Part-time Academic will teach Labs for SOIL 3000 Soil Fertility and Nutrient Management for the period of January – April 2017. The Lab is currently scheduled for Fridays. The Part-time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the labs, including lab preparation, pre-labs, test preparation and evaluation. This position works collaboratively with the Professor, who teaches this course. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.

At least one year experience in teaching in a postsecondary educational institution, Excellent oral, written communication skills, Collegiality and interpersonal skills. PhD in Soil Science, Nutrient Management or a related discipline OR Masters with two year experience in Soil Science, Nutrient management or a related discipline.

The Part-time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the labs, including lab preparation, pre-labs, test preparation and evaluation. This position works collaboratively with the Professor, who teaches this course. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
