Eid al Fitr (IS)
Many Muslims in Canada celebrate Eid al-Fitr (also known as Id al-Fitr or Eid ul-Fitr) on the first day of Shawwal in the Islamic calendar. It marks the end of the month-long fast of Ramadan and the start of a feast that lasts up to three days in some countries.

July 9
Asalhka Puja Day (BU)
Also known as Dharma Day, this is one of the most important dates in the Buddhist calendar as it marks the day the religion was established. It is usually celebrated with readings from the Buddhist scriptures and is an opportunity to reflect deeply on their content.

Martyrdom of the Bab (BA)
Baha'is around the world commemorate the date in 1850 that the Bab, one of two main figures in the founding of their Faith, was executed by a firing squad in Iran, then called Persia. It is commemorated as a solemn Holy Day by Bahá'ís around the world and is observed by abstaining from commerce and work.
