Part-time Academic (September to April) - INTD 3107X/Y.06 Experiential Learning: Canada and INTD 3109.03 Experiential Learning: Abroad. Experiential Learning is an opportunity for students to reflect on the global/local and theory/practice dynamics of the world around them. The Canadian component of experiential learning focuses on themes of community development and public engagement. The international component addresses questions of global citizenship. The Canadian component of experiential learning combines classroom learning with volunteer work experience in a community organization in Halifax or other parts of Canada. The class is offered on Fridays from 9:30 to 12:30 p.m.

The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading, and administration of the class. In addition, must be available for two hours per week outside of class times for student consultation. The part-time academic reports to the Chair. Requirements for the position is a Ph.D. or M.A. in IDS or closely related field. Experience and expertise in interdisciplinary approaches to Development Studies.
