The biomass thermal plant at Dalhousie’s Agricultural Campus has been in use for close to 25 years and is near the end of its useful life. The university is planning to upgrade the current heating plant building with a new biomass power boiler and generator that will promote and support existing and new sustainable biomass supply.

Everyone is welcome to one of two sessions Monday, November 30. There will be an information session in the afternoon from 3 to 6 p.m. where you can learn about the project, speak to the designers, and give feedback.

In the evening from 6:30 - 8 p.m. there will be a more formal discussion session with speakers, presentations and time for discussion.
