Universities are increasingly paying closer attention to the design of, and technology integration in, our classrooms, with a particular focus on supporting active learning through the design of classroom space. How do different classroom set-ups change the way we learn and teach? What kinds of technology are needed and how do we use it effectively?

This workshop will examine how current teaching and learning spaces, and the available technologies, support active learning through the design of classroom space while providing theoretical and conceptual frameworks that re-examine our current notion of space in the learning environment.

Participants will have the opportunity to share their own thoughts about what differently designed classroom spaces mean for their own teaching and student learning.
